The Commerce Club was founded over 40 years ago for the purpose of engaging a diverse group of leaders in meaningful dialogue. Today, The Commerce Club is renewing the spirit of its original mission by launching the New Century Forum as a distinct programming group for the 21st century.
New Century Forum celebrates diversity, facilitates an exchange of ideas and offers a forum to cultivate leadership among a new generation of community and business leaders joining forces to build a better Atlanta.
At the dawn of the 21st century, Atlanta has emerged as “the next great international city.” Atlanta now boasts a vibrant multicultural mosaic representing the full spectrum of race, religion and nationality. As these communities have become established, leaders have emerged to enrich the dialogue, building anew on Atlanta’s great heritage of confronting and resolving cultural conflict in a spirit of goodwill.
We seek to create a forum that affords current and future leaders and their families the opportunity and a place to share views, ideas and ideals; to promote trust, understanding,cooperation and civility; to provide a haven for people of all races, creeds and genders to dream and to grow; a place where the betterment of our community prevails over personal and political interests.
